Delegate to Grow
Not all hats should be on your head

  • Are you trying to do everything yourself because you think you can't afford to get help?
  • Are you afraid to grow for fear that you won't be able to handle the work?
  • Are you afraid to let go because you've heard the horror stories - or have a few of your own?
  • Do you frequently miss deadlines - or stay up all night to meet them?
  • Do you make enough money to go on vacations but you can't because you're too busy to fully let go. (Yes, some people have this problem.)

So, let me ask you this? Didn't you start a business so you could set your own hours, do work that makes a difference and make a profit while you're at it? If so, then you need to make friends with delegation, and start engaging others to help you get your work done. I can help you figure out how to do that.

Without a doubt, you are very good at what you do. You have high standards of service and strive to provide the best value possible to your clients and customers. Unfortunately your skills and passion can also get you in hot water. You're not only good at serving your clients; you're also good a quite a few of the other things required to run your business.

Perhaps you started on a shoestring, careful to keep your expenses down. Now you're in a bind. You know you're doing things that are not a good use of your time, and you're too busy - or afraid - to get help.

Plus, you're not ashamed to admit it. You're something of a perfectionist. It's hard for you to trust others to do things the way you like them done. Perhaps you've hired people to help you only to be disappointed by the results. That's ok. We'll take this one step at a time to make sure that you're comfortable with the process of finding the best people for your team.

Put the CEO Hat On!

  • Identify the absolute best tasks to delegate, allowing you to concentrate on what you do best, and your business needs most.
  • Learn how to build a strong team of trustworthy individuals that are fully engaged and aligned with your mission.
  • Get back your creative edge, work fewer hours.
  • Lay the groundwork for building a business that can run without you sooner rather than later.
  • Develop the systems and structures that allow others to help you get your work done
  • Take evenings and weekends off (yes, I said weekends) knowing that nothing important is falling through the cracks.

If you're worried about the time or resources you have available to hire help - and you know you really need it - let's talk.

solo to team

quoteI had NO employees/helpers when I started coaching. I didn't think I could afford it or hand any work over. I've since hired a full time assistant, a part-time assistant, and an accountant. I love delegating!!!

When I started [working with Joan] I had very little time boundaries or control over my schedule. I worked 7 days a week, nights, etc. I still have work to do in this area, but I have GREATLY improved .. Sundays are now a personal day, without exception. And my weekly work schedule is more organized and efficient, and I am getting better at going home on time and not working too much.quote

open quoteBusiness is still booming. My two associates are doing very well and Jami is just about full for the Class of 2010. Shannon is starting to pick up and we’ve been working more closely with schools down there, so it’s been fun and new. And, I am working out again, and feeling balanced. Yeah!

Thanks again for everything you did to help me move forward! quote
